I am most proud of being a child of Haitian immigrants.
You might be surprised to know that I played lacrosse for 10 years and was a team captain during my senior year of college. I also assisted in coaching middle school and high school girls lacrosse on and off during college as well as after college before matriculating into medical school.
ElevateMeD is… an organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening the leadership development of the next generation of physicians that are diversifying the medical field.

I chose to pursue a career in anesthesiology because I enjoy moment-to-moment decision making as well as the practical application of physiology and pharmacology. 3% of anesthesiologists are reported to identify as Black/African-American. Of those 3%, the majority are women.
