The ElevateMeD High School Program will support 30 high school students interested in attending postsecondary education and pursuing a career in medicine. Participants will have the unique opportunity to engage with their peers and experience hands-on simulation labs, further fostering their interest in medicine. This program will provide students interested in medicine with enhanced knowledge and experience as they begin their journey to becoming a physician.
Join us for a panel discussion on Black Women’s reproductive health with ElevateMeD’s 2024 Trailblazer Award recipient, Chiquita Lockley. Chiquita is a film producer and director of Eggs Over Easy: Black Women & Fertility.
Our goal this year is to continue to raise awareness. With only 13% of physicians identifying as Black/African American, Native American, Alaska Native, or Latinx, ElevateMeD aims to increase physician workforce diversity and improve cultural competence among physicians to reduce health disparities. Help us increase awareness and make new friends!
