The ElevateMeD High School Program will support 30 high school students interested in attending postsecondary education and pursuing a career in medicine. Participants will have the unique opportunity to engage with their peers and experience hands-on simulation labs, further fostering their interest in medicine. This program will provide students interested in medicine with enhanced knowledge and experience as they begin their journey to becoming a physician.
Join us for a panel discussion on Black Women’s reproductive health with ElevateMeD’s 2024 Trailblazer Award recipient, Chiquita Lockley. Chiquita is a film producer and director of Eggs Over Easy: Black Women & Fertility.
Our goal this year is to continue to raise awareness. With only 13% of physicians identifying as Black/African American, Native American, Alaska Native, or Latinx, ElevateMeD aims to increase physician workforce diversity and improve cultural competence among physicians to reduce health disparities.
