I am most proud of my ability to face setbacks without allowing them to define me or shake my confidence. Rather than viewing challenges as barriers, I try to see them as opportunities for growth, and it is the progress made beyond those moments that shapes the physician and person I aspire to be.
You might be surprised to know that I was the leader of a competitive dance team in college and I continue to explore my passion for dance through medical student-led dance shows. Also, I am one of six children.
ElevateMeD is… an opportunity for growth as I continue navigating spaces within medicine that are unfamiliar. Through mentorship, leadership development, and community, it helps equip me with the skills and confidence to enter these environments more prepared to navigate them and ultimately thrive. It also provides a meaningful network of like-minded peers who share a commitment to improving care for the communities we serve. Being part of ElevateMeD not only supports my development as a physician but also challenges me to grow as a leader who can advocate for equity and create pathways for those who will follow.
