We are proud to recognize The Burton Family Foundation for its commitment to creating pathways to opportunity for individuals, children, and communities across Arizona. Through investments in education, youth development, college and career readiness, and human services, the Foundation supports organizations working to strengthen communities and expand opportunity throughout the state.
The Burton Family Foundation’s partnership with ElevateMeD began in 2024 and reflects a shared commitment to education, career readiness, and stronger communities. Through its support of our Scholars Summit and ElevateDReams programming, the Foundation helps create meaningful experiences for future physician leaders while also engaging children and families across Arizona.
Their support helps bring together ElevateMeD Scholars, alumni physicians, Elevate(pre)MeD students, mentors, community partners, and Arizona youth for experiences centered on leadership development, health and wellness, education, connection, and service.
Together, we are strengthening Arizona communities, expanding pathways to opportunity, and preparing future physician leaders to make a lasting impact in the communities they will serve.

ElevateMeD Scholars Program
The ElevateMeD Scholars program provides significant financial assistance to medical students while providing them access to mentorship, leadership development, and financial literacy education.
This year’s Scholars Summit brought together our 2026–27 ElevateMeD Nexus Scholars, Connect Scholars, Legacy Scholars, mentors, Board members, partners, and facilitators for programming focused on leadership, communication, advocacy, financial readiness, wellness, community engagement, and the transition from medical school to residency.
