Current Career Plan: pursue a career as a skin of color dermatologist, focusing on addressing health disparities through social innovation, clinical practice and education
Specialty Interest: Medical Specialty
I am most proud of creating the "Robin Hood of PPE" - a program that has collected over 500,000 unused masks, goggles, and other medical supplies and redistributed thousands of them to safety net clinics and organizations serving marginalized communities here in Arizona.
You might be surprised to know that I am working on an original comic book about a Black college student who gets superpowers from wearing a durag.
ElevateMeD is… so much more than a scholarship organization - it's a diverse community of passionate students and dedicated mentors who have a moral obligation to address issues of health inequity on a policy, practice, and population level.
