  • Hometown: Monterrey, México (resided in Houston, TX for 17 years)

  • Medical Education: University of Washington

  • Undergraduate Education: Rice University in Biochemistry & Cell Biology

  • Current Career Plan: I hope to be an educator in my future field in order to build cultural competency within medicine. I strive to create an environment where future physicians feel comfortable making mistakes and discussing these shortcomings to build a stronger community together.

  • Specialty Interest: Medical Speciality

  • I am most proud of my ability to get back on the horse after falling. I have faced academic and social challenges throughout my life that have at times clouded by view of my ultimate objective and made continuation rather difficult. I do pride myself in being able to take some time to reflect on these challenges and ultimately continue giving my best effort regardless of the circumstance.

  • You might be surprised to know that I am a sports enthusiast! I can name the starting XI for most teams in the top three soccer leagues in Europe. I am a huge fan of soccer, and have really grown to love baseball, football, and basketball over the past years. The World Cup definitely brings me chills, and I'm very much looking forward to USA/Canada/Mexico hosting.

  • ElevateMeD is… a group of very talented, diverse students who are interested in building a network to foster relationships and participate in mentorship for other students.
