  • I am most proud of my desire and ability to relate to others. I enjoy making connections with people even if it's for a short amount of time. I am also proud of my gift to be able to encourage others when they are in need even if I am in need of encouragement myself.

  • You might be surprised to know that I can freestyle rap pretty good. I might be a little rusty if you ask me on the spot, but it still sounds kinda tight though... :)

  • ElevateMeD is… like a mass of supporters saying, "We believe in you!!" Medical school has been tough. Unfortunately, at times it has caused me to question if I have much to contribute to the field of medicine. ElevateMeD is like a hand pulling me up, saying to me, "you can do it! Keep going...you made it this far! We can lighten your burden some! Your community needs you!" ElevateMeD is so comprehensive in the ways that it seeks to support and develop the next generation of physician leaders through financial, leadership, and mentorship support, making it so much more than a scholarship. Moreover, receiving this scholarship is a bold statement for the medical students like myself from underrepresented backgrounds to know that they have much to contribute and are in fact needed in order to elevate the field medicine.
