ElevateMeD Executive Director

Jeffrey Armstrong is the incoming Executive Director of ElevateMeD, an organization focused on addressing the nation’s health disparities by ensuring the next generation of physician leaders, from historically underrepresented backgrounds, are empowered to serve where they are needed the most. He has dedicated his almost 20-year career to the non-profit sector. In his various leadership roles, Armstrong has built programs that foster equity for future generations who deserve a chance to thrive.

Formerly as the Executive Director of Family Promise of the Midlands, Armstrong led initiatives focused on youth development, family stability, and building resiliency. Armstrong serves on the SC State Community Development Council for Truist Bank, is an appointed member of the Affordable Housing Task Force in the City of Columbia, SC, and is a member of Family Promise National’s Racial Justice Council. In 2019, Armstrong received the Servant’s Heart Award “For being a champion for those in need and a change agent for people in South Carolina.”

Prior to moving to Columbia, with his wife and 2 daughters, Armstrong served as director of a family stability program in the Baltimore, MD area.
