Current Career Plan: become either a pediatric neurologist or pediatric ophthalmologist
Specialty Interest: Medical Speciality
I am most proud of my ability to listen and my desire to teach in a way that is most applicable to others. When interacting with someone, I always strive to learn their perspective and find common ground so that I can meet them where they are at and explain things in a way that will be relevant for them.
You might be surprised to know that I love both singing and dancing, and I considered pursuing a career in the performing arts prior to applying to medical school.
ElevateMeD is… a program that not only financially supports students who have been historically underrepresented in the medical field, but also supports these individuals as future leaders and mentors who have the same desire to increase diversity in the field and reduce health disparities.
